I have just released a call for help to the Drupal communitity to help update the E-Commerce system so that it is ready for Drupal 4.7 and a couple of other changes.
If anyone can help please contact me at gordon@heydon.com.au to help coordinate the changes.
Over the last month I have had a lot of very exciting things happen.
Firstly I am now the maintainer of the Drupal E-Commerce module, and I have been evaluating, and working out exactly where it is at over the last couple of weeks and how I am going to do my first task which is to put out the 4.7 release. The biggest issue with this is that there is a huge update to allow for the new formsapi which is really cool. I have been doing a lot of learning when it comes to this as well.
The other big announcement is that from 11th of Jan 2006, I am going to be consulting full time on Drupal and related projects. This is very exciting for me, and I have been getting a lot of enqiries, and everything is looking really good.
So over the next couple of weeks I am going to be reorganising my site and I will be changing the focus to be directed towards Drupal and the consulting. So something will be moving a bit. I will not be stopping my blog, but now instead of being on the front page, they will be on the blogs page.
I have been doing a bit of work laterly with drupal's ecommerce. One of the things that I have done is create a Payment Gateway for Australia using the ccard service to charge credit cards.
This is a hosted payent page service, but unlike other hosted payment pages that I have seen you can have the server submit directly the ccard server outside the communication with the user.
This gateway has been submitted to Drupal and is available from E-Commerce 4.6. It will have available for cvs and 4.7 soon.
