work on htmlarea

I had some kind soul build a patch to allow htmlarea to use the new forms api that drupal is using. I found this really cool, and I have applied it.

This actually gave me the boost I needed and I fixed up all problems the use of the hook_form_alter() and now is working really great.

ATM HTMLArea is the only WISIWYG editor that will work with Drupal 4.7. I am not sure on the status of the others or how far off they are. I know that tinymce might be a little while as Matt is quite busy ATM, unless he has some kind soul make the change.

I am tiring the same best

I am tiring the same best work from me in the future as well. www.ForeclosureHelp.org

Still old release at http://drupal.org/project/htmlarea?

I tried to install the release from the htmlarea project page on my server with drupal 4.6.3 but it doesn't work. Is it possible that this has something to do with the fact that the release date on http://drupal.org/project/htmlarea is still 16/04/2005? I followed the instructions on the install document but it just doesn't work.

what is the code to allow HTML area to work with 4.7?

You say I had some kind soul build a patch to allow htmlarea to use the new forms api that drupal is using. I found this really cool, and I have applied it.

When I enabled the htmlarea module nothing happened. This is with a druapl 4.7-cvs version.  Works great for the 4.6  Do you need "legacy" module to be enabled?
